ABOUT THIS BLOG

This blog is a collaboration between the Young Stroke Survivors Support Group (YSSSG) of the Charleston, SC area and occupational therapy students at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) to demonstrate how people who have a stroke at a young age face particular triumphs and challenges in their everyday activities as they recover.

Together, we hope that this project
1) helps young stroke survivors be encouraged by one another in their recovery,
2) helps educate the public and health professionals about the effects of stroke on a young person’s daily life, and
3) highlights the many areas of daily life after stroke recovery that can be addressed through occupational therapy.
